Breaking News!
Pardon the pun, but Zara is out of action at the moment with a broken foot sustained at the recent 3rd round ISA event in Namibia. She crashed at about 37 knots but unluckily her left foot stuck in the footstrap as she fell forward. Resulting in a break and dislocation of four bones in her left foot. She Is back in the UK now and has had an operation to fix the foot, but it going to be a long recovery.
X-Ray after the operation, Ouch!
Zara back on the water!
Zara was tempted back on the water yesterday 23/3/08. She only did a few runs as she is still not 100% having had all the metalwork taken out of her foot only 8 weeks ago. Zara said "I was compelled to have a try due to the sad loss of a old windsurfing friend Paul Owsianka who died recently and some of his friends gathered at Burnham to say farewell in their own way. I wish it had a been a bit smoother and not 30 to 40 knots but Paul would have gone out so we did. He will be sadly missed".
